Cowpea beans or "Lobia" are mainly popular for their nice taste and richness of nutrients. Their long body make them apt for quick meals preparation. The names of Cowpea in various languages are Augenbohne (German), Chauli, Kulath (Hindi), Sasage (Japenies),Tongpu(Korien) etc. There are seven varieties of cowpea which are named as black eye or purple eye peas, browneye peas, crowder peas, cream, whiteacretype, claytypes and foaragecutivars.
