Nutritions

Bitter Gourd is often used in making dry vegetable curries. It is also taken in the form of juice as it contains many antioxidants and essential vitamins A and C which prevent premature skin ageing and diminishes wrinkles. Bitter gourd contains loads of important nutrients ranging from iron, magnesium and vitamin to potassium. It is an excellent source of dietary fiber; it also contains twice the calcium of spinach, beta-carotene of broccoli, and the potassium of a banana.
Uses

The juice of a bitter gourd mixed with lemon on an empty stomach daily for 6 months for treating blood disorders like blood boils, scabies, itching, psoriasis, ringworm and other fungal diseases. Fresh pods as well as young leaves can be used for cooking.
