Bottle Gourd is a light green vegetable with a white inner flesh. It is low in calorific content and has high water content. Bottle gourd name comes because of its shape. It contains mostly 92% of water. It is indeed bottle shaped, light green & long. The flesh inside is spongy & you can also cut it into little pieces and make a curry out of it.
